Patriots Release Aaron Hernandez....The Patriot Way Indeed!

Patriots.com – The New England Patriots have issued the following statement on the release of tight end Aaron Hernandez.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots have announced the release of tight end Aaron Hernandez following his arrest in the investigation of a homicide last week in North Attleboro, Mass.

The New England Patriots issued the following statement: “A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation. We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do.”

The message couldn’t be clearer from Foxborough. If you murder a guy you will not be welcome in New England anymore. Once again the Patriots are a beacon of hope for the rest of the NFL and for earth. Too many teams like the Baltimore Ravens have brushed aside capital crimes in favor of winning games. They have embraced felons like Ray Lewis because Ray Lewis helps win games. Not here in New England. Not here. If you kill a guy you’re done. If you’re involved in a murder investigation you’re done. If you obstruct justice in a murder case you’re done. That shit may fly in Baltimore and Dallas but not in New England where honor and integrity still matter. What a message for the kids!!!!  The New England Patriots will not tolerate murder. Amen! The Patriot way indeed.
